About Paracord

Parachute Cord also known as "Paracord" is a lightweight nylon rope originally used during WWII in parachute suspension lines. Paratroopers soon found this cord useful for numerous other tasks. It has since gained popularity for civilian use. Paracord has a woven nylon outer sheath surrounding a 7 strand inner core. It has a minimum breaking strength of 550 lbs which makes it very strong, durable, and versatile. Paracord does not rot or mildew. The outer sheath is very versatile, and when taken apart, the inner strands can be very useful as well.
